The Planning Board will meet again on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and is expected to take up the proposal to rezone Route 28 north.
At its first meeting after the July public forum, members reviewed the land uses included in the current draft of proposal and kept most of the uses already in place, although it did remove retail uses. The latter had been the target of critics who argued that permitting retail shops on the outskirts of town would damage businesses in the downtown.
The rezoning proposal is likely to be discussed in a work session at which the public is not permitted to provide input. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the meeting room of the Wolfeboro Public Library.
